I always felt sports and food were two things that could bring people together. Unfortunately, when I was younger, I was a bit husky which hampered my athletic ability. I turned to cooking instead. After 15 years, life has finally come full circle and brought me back to Quincy. It seems just like yesterday when I started cooking at the BBQ Shack in the parking lot of the 24th street grocery store. I have had the great honor of working with some extraordinary chefs. I cannot ever thank Chef Larry McFadden enough for all he has taught me and Ms. Matthews-Murphy for teaching the true meaning of Southern Hospitality. The hours spent honing my craft would not have been possible without the support from my family. There were many hours spent away, many birthdays missed, but always unwavering support. Food, to me, can be this life altering, soul touching phenom. It is a story of where we are, where we have been and where we are going. I hope you will come and enjoy my story.
